Addendum: this happens ONLY in the inbox (private messages). In timelines it opens in browser, but if a direct message is sent with a link, clicking the web link opens it in the Desktop instead of in the browser.

Did that but when trying to add account it says "Bad nickname or password." after testing login. But the username and password and server are correct.

From what we see, using 1.0 already, it mostly works great... XMPP bot does not work, or works but 100% CPU, so can't leave running. Also some bugs in some plugins such as bookmarks, extended profile. And does not work with StatusNet Desktop yet :( …

BTW, I sent a notice marked private, to a group from the drop down box, and it is visible in the time line, and is NOT in the groups inbox, only in the time line?

That is wonderful and all understood... but what about when sending a general notice and marking it private? From my testing it is still visible even to those who are not subscribed and not moderators. Also, can moderators see those private messages…

Does it mean that other users won't be able to see such notices in any streams, UNLESS they are subscribed to the user's stream?

We rely a lot on the bot for interaction with Pidgin and old mobiles (Talkonaut) so getting this fixed would be a priority for us, if you have any ideas if we can help. Also, there seems to be authentication problems as statusnet desktop no longer …
