    I don't think I've ever visited the add-ons site. Most everything needed comes with the original download.

    Thanks for responses here and in other notes. Still looking forward to other comments. I mean, if no one else steps up to say this software and site aren't dead, isn't that confirmation that they're fairly dead? Really hoping not and not trying to be a killjoy here. Just trying to understand the true state of the ecosystem.

  Noticed that to customize invitation text, I can't just change statusnet.po. I needed to hardcode english text into invite.php.

  Setup first StatusNet site a few days ago. Tested and now ready for production. "Build it and they will come"? We'll see. Getting people to sign up is more challenging than getting the software to work.
