URL's in status updates

In status updates it changes the URL to bounce off a page on the server. I assume this is to count statistics. Is there a way to turn it off, so the link stays as typed?

    Oh, I mean for all users, not just me. That was in my personal settings, not administration. I see. I guess it's not possible to turn it off. Thanks anyway.
