I have a problem with database extension

When i go to install StatusNet i see the following error:

"Cannot find a database extension. You need at least one of mysqli, pgsql."

Help me!

@Snok I need to know some more about your hosting environment, but that error usually means that you're missing the php extension php5-mysql
