Acting as OpenID-Server?

Hi!

Just a short question: Is it possible that a status,net-server can work as a OpenID-Server? Or is there a plugin for this available?

  • @heluecht Yes, the OpenID plugin also includes an OpenID server. It's a default plugin enabled on all installations unless you unset it. It just uses your user profile as your ID no need to do any extra setup.
  • Hi!

Is it possible to use an URL that doesn't contain the username? (Like AOL and Google are doing it). I'm searching for a possibility to do an anonymous login via OpenID.

For example: If you are doing a login via https://openid.aol.com you can choose if you want to do it with your name in the URL or anonymous: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/97135/aol-openid-anonym.png

I would like to do the same with my own status.net-server as well.

  • @heluecht I believe that it's username only - you could try /user/#### where #### is the userid number, but it just redirects to /username so it's not anonymous.
