Another thing I'm missing in the twitter bridge is a check for duplicates. Whenever there is a person who is using identi.ca and twitter I'm reveiving two posts. Is there any existing option to check for duplicate posts?
@huluecht You can file a bug report here http://status.net/open-source/issues I know that we're currently in the process of reworking the way the twitter bridge works, so it may have already been covered.
Reworking sounds cool :) Is there any timeline for that? The several problems with the twitter bridge prevents me from going public. So I have two options:
Okay. I guess I will do the following: Since there are more important things to be programed for our party this service hasn't top priority. I hope that I can take a programer from my team to do the job in a month or two. I will be happy when the problems are fixed until then. If not then our team could do the job.
Do you know if the rework will include direct messages? I would love to have a service that could fully replace twitter. Just like Jabber does with its transports.

1. Waiting for some fixes
2. Doing it on my own
