@sam
status.net is a drupal site :P can you be more specific? also IRC might be better for this.

Thanks
@aric

I am trying to see if I can integrate a blog (not micro-blog) function into status.net so users have a blog if they want.

@aric

so what should I do?

I dunno i guess we need some kind of hook on registration that passes usernames and passwords to drupal.
would this only be for site owners? (ie those with the owner role)

Thanks
@aric

I was thinking about that blog function for every user.

@sam
that sounds like it would be too much, do you really want 100,000 users/blogs on your drupal install? :) also statusnet accounts are openid providers, so that might be a good way off hooking them up.

thanks
@aric

I just want to make the blog function optional to every user. they will need to activate the blog function if they want to use it.
openid sounds good. do I need to register my site as openid provider somewhere?

@sam
*.statusnet net sites are the openid provider, the drupal site would need to be an openid consumer

you can test openid here
http://www.wasab.dk/morten/2007/11/openid/
for example, a sing user would enter sitename.status.net to sign on
and community user would enter sitename.status.net/nickname to sign on.
