Status.net Server not sending emails

Hi there,

I am having trouble with my status.net server not sending emails. When new users register, they do not get an activation email, their account just starts working. I also cannot send out invitations.

Please advise.

I am still having trouble with my email. I have signed up with several test accounts on my server and I never get any confirmation emails. Is it a setting somewhere, or is my webserver not configured properly?

Any ideas?

I still have not been able to resolve this issue. Is anybody else having the same issue? I can't get a confirmation email to be sent out.

@fullmag look at config.php.sample for email config lines
you need php-mailmime package
what do the logs saty when you try to send an email? do you have postfix installed?

Hey that worked! Thank you very much. I opened up the config.php.sample and copied out everything pertaining to email and pasted it into my config.php and then customized it to my server.

Worked like a charm.
