How to keep my .po files when update?

I have nearly corrected all the bugs of chinese .po file, almost finished for 0.9.rc2, but I want to know if I upgrade to 0.9 beta3 how to keep my translations.

The best thing would be to submit any translation corrections back to the master interface on TranslateWiki so they'll get kept in future versions of the software:
