if you have any advice on hosts I would appreciate it. I'm not having such a great time figuring out what the server requirements are :(

@mao a dedicated server is key if you want to run realtime and jabber and all that. amazon is pretty awesome, also slicehost

Aric, I'm opting to go with dreamhost. We decided we'll use it to test first and with just a few of us. That way we can see whether to really plant our feet. Plus one click = good for no can install peeps like me. I'll keep Amazon and Slicehost handy, hoping we will grow and by then will be able to use these dedicated ones. Thank you!

I tried to sign up, I had problems. I'm getting jaded but I still want to try Status.net. Luckily, I've spent the time trying to map out my super duper status.net site! LOL
