Missing avatar pictures - what can I do?

If you take a look at http://pirati.cc/heluecht/all you will see that some avatar pictures are missing. This seems to happen from time to time. Is there a script that I can start that checks for missing pictures? Which function is called inside of the statusnet installation? If there is no ready script I would wrote one for myself.
