I am looking for a solution, or any info anyone may have regarding the following issue:
Whenever a registered user uses the password recovery function the system sends out two email notifications to that user, each with a different code, both with the same date and time (there may be a small time delta that our email clients can't detect). We have tried using both of the emailed links and one will work and one won't. It seems that one of the codes, the first one generated by the system is invalidated by the last. So then, if a user chooses the wrong email from the pair sent by StatusNet he will get the error page named in the title of this post.
I want to know why the thing is sending out two emails at the same time.

The site is on a shared server with anhost but it's a deluxe account, which means we have quite a bit of control.
Any information, a solution or even a hint will be deeply appreciated.
