The Newbs Guide to Plugins

What up ya'all. i have been reading for a while and can't figure out the secret of the plugins quite yet. I believe I got Meteor installed but it wasn't quite like a normal plugin. Beyond that when I add things to the config.php I would assume you would login as admin and go under the plugins and things would be there to enable or disable. Not so much for me so I must be assuming wrong. I added or have added plugins like this: addPlugin('EmailSummary'); and have changed syntaxes but am struggling so perhaps someone would throw me a bone.

I have read that most of the plugins from the trunk are enabled by default...but I am owned trying. So with that I am tapping out and need some love from the real team.

  • @jboss008 Most plugins do not appear on the admin page, as you've noticed. A number of the "feds" group members have written up their experiences (including enabling plugins in config.php). You can find the group at parlementum.net/group/feds.
