Status.net doesn't work. I see main page with "DB Error: no database selected". Could you help me?

I am trying to make Status.net work in a shared server, but after copying all files and editing config.php to put there all data needed, I try to access the main page and all I get is that error: "DB Error: no database selected". Maybe it's due to an error during the configuration I did, but I have checked it several times and I think everything is fine.
Do you know why could this happen? And how could I solve it? Thanks a lot.

PS: If you need any other info, please ask me and I will answer you as soon as I can.

  • StatusNet needs a database on the server, so it can store its information. Your shared server probably has a web-based control panel. You need to create a database and a database user (with a username and password) with full power over that database. Then you need go back to the install page and enter the database information, so that the StatusNet software will know how to access the database.

I see another thread here that says you've already done this and run into some kind of error.
