Issues with Pear installation - following wiki to the letter but stuck

Installing using this wiki: http://status.net/wiki/InstallationWindows#Installing_XAMPP

I'm on the step to run the go-pear.php file:
C:\xampp\php>php -q go-pear.php

When I execute the command above, a ton of txt flies by without any prompts, it's like its just dumping the contents of the php file and not really executing it...

Help!

Edited wiki to skip this step and just start with the upgrade process. It works now.
