Is there a max amount of invites at one time?

I am planning on sending out over 5,000 invites through my StatusNet site and was wondering if there is a limit of invites one can send at one time. Does anyone know the answer to this?

    I tried sending a test batch of 1,014 invites and this is the error I received:

    "Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator, "siteEmailAddress" and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log."

    Any ideas on the maximum amount of invites a person can send at one time?

    Update: Even though I received the error, I think they all went through. Don't know for sure though?
