Facebook not showing up in connect tab

Facebook not showing up in connect tab. It's showing up in the admin and login tab but just not the connect. I followed the instructions in the read me file.

I created a guest account

Twitter seams to be working fine

I found that theoretically you could connect the accounts through the login - register w/ facebook. but I get:

Bad Request

You must be logged into Facebook to register a local account using Facebook. Which I am most definitively logged in to facebook. Something is wrong with my setup

I just tried facebook connect on identi.ca. It didn't even work there. Got same message after "Bad Request

You must be logged into Facebook to register a local account using Facebook."

Even though it looks like it will work cause it does pool your info from facebook - but in the end it doesn't work

It only works if you "login with Facebook" and it only works if you fully setup the Facebook bridge Plugin

@jordanc I did. I'm a beginner to at status.net but I'm not new to social programming. I read the read me file and changed my facebook app to match my status.net info. I did everything in the read me file. I did take facebook bridge off of my config.php last night cause I didn't want anyone to try to use it and it not work. So thats why you probably commented with that comment. But you can look at identi.ca they have the exact same problem that I was having.

But I do like status.net- I think it's perfect for me. In the past I have had to spend all my time programming. I see that I will have to spend time programming but not all my time.

I upgraded to 0.9.9 and made a completely new app on facebook instead of updating the old app and it worked perfectly! Thank you @Craig Andrews, @Zach Copley

Yes, pre 0.9.7 Facebook app does not work anymore, sorry if I didn't specify that earlier.

Greetings. I have 0.9.9 and twitter and facebook seem to be almost working fine. only issue is, when I try to add facebook to my already created account, it says Bad Request

Looks like it may be a problem with fancy urls, you may want to make sure they're enabled.

I'm having the exact same problem with my brand new 0,9,9 install. I had an API key that I was using with my previous server, but even after making a new one I encounter the same problem. Facebook authenticates and clears the permissions screen, and calls back to my statusnet to register or authenticate a local user. Doing either results in the same "Bad Request" message:

"You must be logged into Facebook to register a local account using Facebook."

I am also having the same issue. 0.9.9 fresh install about a week ago and followed the instructions in the README.

Ok, I can do it now.. For everyone who having this issue..
1. Check your error_log
2. if your error_log is like me ( failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found facebook ) , this error is from php configuration
3. config php.ini allow_url_fopen to on
