Desktop client install error

trying to install on my Arch 64 bit. I download and launch the installer and get this error:
Couldn't find required file:/home/cer/.titanium/runtime/linux/1.0.0/libkhost.so

That directory (.....linux/1.0.0) is empty, where are those files supplied from?

@encyclomundi the install should take care of it... odd. If you launch the installer from the terminal do you get any useful output other than that message?

@encyclomundi Not too sure.. I see here http://status.net/wiki/Client that on arch you need to install libpng12 but I'm not sure if that would make sense for the error you get. Maybe try that first if you haven't yet then try the installer again. Google leads me to believe that arch and titanium (what we use to build the client) don't play well out of the box...

Yeah, I installed that before I installed the Desktop client. Yes, it looks like it's tricky to get it to work in Arch. I'll keep looking for a client.

@encyclomundi I'll poke around trying to figure it out, unfortunately I'm not too familiar with arch. I'll let you know if I get anything.

are the files that are supposed to be in that directory somewhere else in the install that I could try and copy?
