Custom Domain not working on paid account

I've got the paid status.net service. I'm trying to set up my domain with it. I seet the A record to 174.142.114.103 last Thu or Fri. It's still not working today. I enter the hostname in form domain.tld. I get the error message: "The given hostname is not yet set up correctly." Am I doing something wrong? Can I set some help from status.net? Thanks.

@georgedonnelly I just got it working myself with a subdomain and a cname - I havn't had the chance to test it out with a bare domain quite yet - although I think we're going to need a fix for the plugin - I'll keep you posted.

Are you saying the CNAME is required for the plugin to identify the statusnet instance the domain should be mapped to?

@georgedonnelly there were some changes to the custom domain plugin recently. It appears that cnaming a subdomain like status.yoursite.com still works - but setting an A Record for a bare domain is having trouble.

Is there an ETA on this? I need to decide whether to host with you or host it myself. I've already paid for the first month so I need to make a decision very soon. Thanks.

@georgedonnelly We just pushed some new code to the live servers that should have fixed the custom domain plugin. Can you let me know if it's working now?

I still get the same error: "The given hostname is not yet set up correctly." Tried it twice.

The error message changed:

"domain is not properly registered yet. 'xxx.xx' should resolve to 10.2.2.254."

Of course that's a non-routeable IP. I'll wait a little longer.

Nope. I get "settings saved" but when I bring up the domain in my browser I still see "No such site."

I'm having this problem as well. The status.net favicon is showing up, by the page says "No such site."
Any suggestions?

@jordanc I have read this post and tried all of the suggestions, my error message is Your domain is not properly registered yet. 'jamesfvalley.net' should resolve to 174.142.114.103. The A name contains 174.142.114.103 and the CNAME contains 174.142.114.103. My website http://jamesfvalley.net reads "No such site" and that's with or without the "www"

What am I doing wrong?
