Trying to use statusnet desktop, works to connect to identi.ca but not to my server on my intranet:

I get Bad nickname or password error, i know they are correct, Server is version 0.9.6 statusnet is rooted
http://servername/statusnet/
no fancy URLs, i have entered all variations into "server" to get it to work!! help!!! thanks so much!!!!!!!!

Is there any other twitter desktop client can also connect to intranet Statusnet server?

@yoshinga most twitter clients where you can specify your api root work with statusnet.

on my own installation of status net i get Could not verify site. message when i try to connect through desktop client....

techxperts: I had the same problem. I had to use statusnet/statusnet/index.php as the name of the server (servername/databasename/index.php).

I believe we've got a new version coming out within a few weeks that should address this problem.

I also wonder if an eventual update is aiming to fix http://status.net/open-source/issues/3158

No eta yet, sorry - trying to polish up 1.0.x before the clients get a fix to be more compatible with them.
