Bypassing Design related settings.

Hello people. I've got a huge question... So I have this nice theme, and it uses rgba instead of #color. Say, #sidebar, #content: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.4); etc. It looks very nice, and shows the background image very well. But then when I go into my Account, Design, and try to change things like background image, or the sidebar color it gives me an error saying "isn't a right color". What I'm trying to do is, how do I just make it bypass-able..? If user did't choose to change the color, it'd just stay transparent. I've tried several ways to do it, but did't really make it happen. Any help is appreciated :)

  • anybody..? :(
  • @mangaa I'm not sure this is possible without a decent rework of the core code or a new plugin. Would it not be easier just to change the way your theme works?
  • Hmm, thanks. I may just go ahead and try to disable all the color code settings. Make users be able to change only background images :)

@jordanc also, how do you disable all the Feeds from the site?

  • @mangaa I don't think there's a way to do that in our software, you may be able to figure something out at the apache level.
  • I figured how to :) added some CSS, and got it done
